Heart Pavilion Opening and More Ahead This Week

Happy Monday, Ardmore. Here are five things you need to know to make it through the week.

Below is a quick preview of what's ahead in Lower Merion Township and Narberth this coming week. If we missed anything, which is a distinct possibility, let us know in the comments below. 

  • Golden Slippers on the Main Line, a summer learning series for adults that runs through August 14, gets underway on Monday at Frankel Hall at Adath Israel. For more information on the program, check out Golden Slipper's website, or see their event listing for the series here.
  • Green thumb? On Wednesday night, Ludington Library is hosting a "flower power" event that will give attendees a primer on purchasing and arranging flowers. See the Patch event listing here.
  • Put on your dancing shoes for a good cause. On Friday at 7 p.m., the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet (19 N. Narberth Avenue) is hosting a Flamenca Fundraiser. For $45, attendees can take a beginner flamenca class from the renowned Elba Hevia y Vaca, then enjoy Spanish food and drink in what promises to be a spicy afterparty. Proceeds go to the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet. 
  • To celebrate the opening of Lankenau's state-of-the-art heart pavilion, Main Line Health is inviting residents to a Community Day Celebration at the hospital. Parking is free (!) at the Saturday event, and the celebration includes tasty street food courtesy of some of Philadelphia's finest food trucks, as well as music and live entertainment  a raffle, yoga lessons, and more.   • Animal lovers, this one's for you. On Saturday starting at 11 a.m., Buzzy's Bow Wow Meow (701 Montgomery Avenue, Narberth) is hosting a KittyPalooza (their coinage, not ours) adoption event.
