Froyo La La Brings Cool New Yogurt Option to Ardmore

The yogurt shop opened on June 29, a day historians may one day recognize as the peak of the FroYo craze.

12 flavors. 45 toppings. More flavor than you can shake a stick at.

For Froyo La La, the Main Line's newest frozen yogurt shop, the pitch is simple. While many eateries that are taking advantage of the FroYo craze have a distinct hook—Bryn Mawr's Pinkberry touts its health consciousness, Bala Cynwyd's Yosl's its kosher options—Froyo La La manager Alex Chen said his place is simply focused on flavor.

"No, no, no," he laughed when asked if the yogurt in the shop he and his brother opened on June 29 is organic, or has any other noteworthy bells and whistles.

"Just yogurt."

Flavors at the 18 W. Lancaster Avenue shop rotate every three weeks, and include Bubble Tea (also known as "Boba Tea"); a Taiwanese tea-based fruit drink Chen says is all the rage in New York and parts of Asia.

"We carry green tea, black tea, and different flavors. It's very famous in Chinatown in New York. Kids love Boba Tea."

Well, maybe they do have a hook after all.

Froyo La La is located at 18 W. Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore. The shop is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday. You can contact them at (610)896-8868.
