Clover Market Preview: 17 New Vendors This Sunday

The market features more than 90 vendors selling vintage clothing and household items, handmade jewelry, original artwork and carefully selected antiques.

Fingers crossed, it looks like sunny skies with temperatures in the high 50s on Sunday: perfect weather for the spring opening of Ardmore’s popular Clover Market, which features 17 new vendors this weekend. April’s market, to be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, includes more than 90 vendors selling vintage clothing and household items, handmade jewelry, original artwork and carefully selected antiques. Gypsy Fish, Nannygoat Antiques and Hinterland Vintage are just of a few of the regulars returning this month. New vendors for April’s market are: Creative Clubhouse will also run a kids’ craft all day to keep the tykes happy. Clover Market Entrepreneur Makes Ardmore A Destination Location

Janet Long, of Ardmore, turned her vision for a Main Line open air market into a vibrant community event.

Ardmore resident Janet Long saw an opportunity, several years ago, when she realized there was a shortage of outdoor markets along the Main Line. What started simply enough—the idea to coordinate a small vintage sellers market—has grown into a full-time job for Long, and the project, Clover Market, has gained regional and national exposure. "Clover was a little bit of a side project that ended up taking over my life," Long laughed, during an interview at MilkBoy Coffee this week. The popular outdoor market benefited from sunny, warm weather on May 6.

On Sunday, May 6, hundreds gathered in downtown Ardmore for May's Clover Market, a monthly outdoor market for vintage and handmade wares, art and antiques.  The market runs one Sunday each month spring through fall, rain or shine, but Sunday's beautiful sunny weather certainly didn't hinder the turnout. Far from being just a local event, Clover Market brings people to Ardmore from all over the Delaware Valley. "We have vendors—and customers—coming from New Jersey, Baltimore, Delaware," said Janet Gardner Long, Clover Market organizer.
