Upscale Condos Planned For YMCA Site in Ardmore

The Main Line YMCA building will be demolished, if plans are approved.

A four-story, 31-unit condominium building is proposed for the site of the Main Line YMCA in Ardmore, which will be demolished to make way for the new complex. Provco Cornerstone Ardmore LP, a partnership between The Provco Group and Cornerstone Communities, plans construct a 31-unit building of for-sale luxury condos on the YMCA lot with “maintenance free living," secure underground parking and upscale features, said David Della Porta, president of Cornerstone Communities. “It should be a wonderful condo lifestyle for professionals and empty nesters,” Della Porta said in an interview Wednesday. Haverford YMCA Construction 'Moving Along Rapidly'

The Main Line YMCA in Ardmore will merge with the Haverford facility when construction is complete.

Construction of the new Haverford Area YMCA is well underway. The Main Line YMCA, located in Ardmore, announced in fall its plans to close and merge with the Haverford YMCA when the new facility is complete. The Haverford Y will be located at 891 North Eagle Road in Haverford, about 3.5 miles from the Main Line Y. Haverford 4th Ward Commissioner Dan Siegel posted the following update on construction of the new Haverford YMCA on his website. Construction of the new Haverford Area YMCA on Eagle Road (at the old Bubble Gum Factory site) is in full swing. According to YMCA officials, the following is the status as of February 2013:
