What Are All The Kids Reading at Bargain Book Warehouse?

Find out what the most popular children's book is at Bargain Book Warehouse in Wynnewood.

What are the kids raging about at the Wynnewood Bargain Book Warehouse? According to one employee, the most popular children's book at the moment is The Giant Book of Giants by Savior Pirotta. The book also includes a 3-D giant poster to go along with the story. The bagain bookstore is currently offering the book for $4.  The price tag is a steal in comparison to other neighboring bookstores and sites:

No Firm Plans Yet For LA Fitness, Bargain Books

LA Fitness was granted zoning approval to occupy the Borders building in Wynnewood Shopping Center earlier this year.

There's still no word on when, or if, LA Fitness will take over the former Borders space in Wynnewood Shopping Center, currently occupied by Bargain Book Warehouse. A representative of Federal Realty Investment Trust, the owners of Wynnewood Shopping Center, said this week that they have nothing firm to announce yet regarding a lease with LA Fitness, which had expressed interest in opening a 24/7 "upscale, signature" fitness center in the old Borders building. Thank you Beth for backing up my comment and I agree with you 100%. If BBW can't stay at that location isn't there somewhere else close by to move into? I am a tactile person and I like to feel, hold and look at books before I buy them. Books are to be treasured and worshipped- just like the local organic produce ( sorry to stray off the topic).   more ›

Where Can You Still Find Comic Books in Town?

Stop by the Wynnewood Shopping Center.

If you find the novelty of perusing comic books never wears off, you can still find what you want in the Ardmore-Wynnewood-Merion Patch area. Bargain Book Warehouse carries approximately 400 comic books at its store in the Wynnewood Shopping Center, all ranging from around $4-$10, according to one employee.  From Superman to Star Wars comics, you'll be able to find some of the newer comics out on the market.

Bargain Bookstore Moves Into Borders Space

A manager expected Bargain Book Warehouse to open by early next week.

As Federal Realty and LA Fitness continue to present their case before the Lower Merion Zoning Hearing Board, another business has moved into the space the gym hopes to eventually occupy. Bargain Book Warehouse plans to open as soon as early next week in the Wynnewood Shopping Center's old Borders building, said co-manager Arturo Garcia. The bargain bookstore, which will offer both new releases and older books, will eventually occupy both floors of the old Borders building. But for the moment, as Spirit Halloween finishes moving out, Bargain Books will open just the second floor, Garcia said. The building has attracted several short-term tenants since the Borders chain closed last year: first a Halloween store, then a discount furniture …

Border's went out of business for a variety of reasons having nothing to do with people NOT wanting to buy books. http://business.time.com/2011/07/19/5-reasons-borders-went-out-of-business-and-what-will-take-its-place/ The new bookstore is great. I go in every week, and find a bunch of books for myself, and gifts for whatever birthday or holiday is around the corner. I also buy from Thriftbooks.…   more ›
