Touched By Terror: Patch Remembers 9/11 in 911 National Snapshots

Patch looked out across our sites to pull together 911 snapshots of everyday Americans whose lives were changed by the events of that day.

Millions of people across the country were affected by the 9/11 attacks. Some experienced the tragic loss of a loved one, some found an inspiring way to help those who were grieving, and others experienced a political awakening.  To help reflect the endless diversity of their experiences, Patch looked out across our sites to pull together 911 snapshots of everyday Americans whose lives were changed by the events of that day. From across the country, this Patch site and hundreds of others captured the faces, keepsakes, memorials, ceremonies, flags, fund-raisers, deployments and the still-raw emotions that followed the attacks. 67 Photos: Ardmore All Aglow For Santa Claus During First Friday Main Line Dec. 3

Ho ho ho! This evening, quite a crowd got into the spirit of the season in downtown Ardmore, PA!

It was a jolly old elf named Kris Kringle who came to town on a shiny red fire truck during the Dec. 3 First Friday Main Line. Santa Claus was a big hit on Schauffele Plaza, where Ardmore's tree, courtesy of Schreiner Tree Care Specialists, was lit and the little angels from Regina Angelorum Academy serenaded the crowd with festive Christmas music.  After sitting on Santa's lap, many children went onto the Ardmore Initiative where they made holiday ornaments and checked out a beautiful book by author Leslie Ehrin, who was there representing herself and her mother, illustrator Lois Ehrin, during a book signing of their new book, Just About A Year: All About Seasons. Visitors to Ardmore were also treated to traditional Christmas caroling …
