Top Volunteer Opportunities This Holiday Season

The Ardmore community offers ample chances to volunteer.

An overwhelmingly high percentage of Americans—compared to the rest of the 6.7 billion human residents of the planet anyway—are impossibly materially fortunate. We have ample food, clean water, little threat of violence, access to medicines, and political and social institutions that are basically good. Many of us even have love, or something a lot like it, in our lives. Some have iPads.

It gets better. Because the western Main Line's relation to the rest of the country is (roughly) America's relation to the rest of the planet, people who live in Ardmore—so you, or almost anyone else who is reading this—are an especially lucky subset of an already especially lucky population. The odds of being in a better situation are almost zero.

So be grateful. And give back.
