Philadelphia Mainline Area Meditation Workshop

Sunday, September 30th: "The Art & Science of Meditation" with Dr. Martin Orimenko, at Namas Day, Wayne Art Center, 2pm

Join Dr. Martin Orimenko at Namas Day, the first Annual Philly Area Yoga Festival.  It will be at the Wayne Art Center, and will run from morning to late afternoon.  Namas Day will be an opportunity to take a wide range of classes and workshops from some of the top teachers in the area.

Dr. Martin is excited to be one of the presenters at Namas Day!  He will be teaching from 2 - 3pm that day.  The workshop is entitled "The Art & Science of Meditation".

The goal of meditation is freedom, inner peace, communion and enlightenment.  This is yoga.  The way out of the mind is through the mind.  Learn meditation techniques that can open the door to Nirvana.  Nirvana is a state of mind both blissful and ordinary.  Nirvana is beginners mind, a free mind, an unattached mind, a knowing mind.  Meditation will lead you to that profound inner sanctum of direct perception and peace.  If nothing else, you deserve the rest.

Meditation should not be difficult. It should not be a chore. It should be effortless and deeply enjoyable. One simply needs the right technique and training. The mind wants a break from so much thinking. The physiology wants to reverse the effects of so many stresses. Meditation does this.

Dr. Orimenko was initiated into meditation when he was 17 years old. He was later initiated into advanced yogic techniques and practiced twice daily for many years. He had a satori or awakening experience at the age of 21.

If you are interested in learning more but you are unable to attend this workshop, please reach out to Traci at Live Well to see about scheduling a workshop of your own or taking private meditation lessons.
