Merion Mercy Academy rowing coach Michael Brown was named Coach of the Year at the Schuylkll Navy's 9th annual awards banquest Saturday, according to a release from BoathouseRow.org.

Brown, who helped to start the school's rowing program in 2005, lead the 2011 Varsity 4 to an undefeated regular season and gold at the City Championships.
