has a new head soccer coach, as Bill Brady has been brought on board effective Aug. 15.

With its hiring of Brady, the school has scored a skipper with a resume as long as it is impressive. Brady led to an 8-6-2 record last season, the program's first winning record since 2000, and took Centennial Conference coach of the year honors.

Before his stint at Haverford, he coached St. Bonaventure University—where he set a school record for wins by a first-year coach—and led Greensboro College to three championships in four years.

"My entire career has been collegiate athletics. In that time, we’ve always strived to recruit players like the young men at The Haverford School. I look forward to be able to spend every day with that quality of student-athlete," Brady said in a press release.

In addition to his role as soccer coach, Brady will helm Haverford School's Leadership Program.

Athletic director John Nostrant said the school is fortunate to have landed a coach of Brady's pedigree.

"We are very excited to have Bill lead the continued success of our soccer program. It is a program that has a rich history of success in the Inter-Ac and the area. Bill brings a great deal of soccer coaching experience both at the collegiate and youth level to Haverford," Nostrant said. "Most importantly he is an educator, and he will help us stay true to the philosophy of the teacher/coach model."
