Dr. Charles A. Williams, III will speak on school violence at the lunch meeting of Ardmore Rotary at Merion Crick Club. Dr. Williams (known as “Dr. Chuck”) is a well recognized expert on this subject. He worked his way out of foster care as a child to become an Assistant Clinical Professor in the School of Education at Drexel University and the Director of Drexel’s Center for the Prevention of School Aged Violence. Dr. Chuck has been a panelist at a White House Regional Conference on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships in Philadelphia and was recently the moderator of a Philadelphia Inquirer forum on school violence. Ardmore Rotary speakers at Merion Cricket Club on a weekly basis and guests are always invited. $35 at the door.
