Baldwin Students Build School Replica From 3,000 Cans of Food

Now that the construction project is complete, the cans of food will be donated by the students to the Ada Mutch Community Center at ElderNet in Bryn Mawr.

Baldwin School students have collected more than 3,000 cans of food as part of the school's Canstruction drive.
The goal was to collect enough food to build a model of the school's Residence building, in honor of the school's 125th anniversary. The finished model was 7 feet high and 3 feet wide.

The students built the model will the help of Baldwin Trustee and parent Terry Steelman, a principal at Ballinger who donated the time of one of his architects, 2009 Baldwin graduate Kirin Kennedy.

Now that the construction project is complete, the cans of food will be donated by the students to the Ada Mutch Community Center at ElderNet in Bryn Mawr. Mutch was a member of Baldwin's Class of 1922.

The types of food were chosen based on the needs of the food bank.
