Computer Instruction For Seniors at Ardmore's PALM Center

PALM offers computer classes to enrich seniors' lives.

The in Ardmore (Positive Aging in Lower Merion) offers computer classes to enrich the lives of local seniors, to help them better connect with family and friends, and to help them maintain their independence and self-reliance.

Several levels of class are available. The most basic instruction is provided for those who don't even know how to turn on a computer. More advanced instruction is available for those who want to be able to shop online or use social tools such as Facebook.

All this is thanks to the efforts of computer instructor Mike Sommerville, Jr.

Hear what Mr. Sommerville has to say about his classes by listening to the interview at right. The other video will take you inside one of the classrooms for a moment or two of class.

Ouida Davis assisted in the production of the video. Thanks to Leon Roberts and Donna Inners of Ardmore, and Ruth of Bryn Mawr, for allowing us into their class to tape some of the sessions.
