Town Hall is no more the best coffee shop in Ardmore, PA than Ardmore, OK. Town Hall isn't IN Ardmore. No one from Ardmore (PA) would schlep all the way to Bala for coffee when there are a half-dozen (or more) perfectly good coffee shops right in Ardmore.

Hey Wynnewoodie, quite a few of our excellent customers drive in from Ardmore, Haverford, Bryn Mawr, and further. To honor their business, we'll continue to provide the best coffee and customer service in the area. Thank you all for the votes. We appreciate it! Tim Noble Owner, Barista, Town Hall Coffee Co.

I agree with Mr. Noble. I drive from Broomall everyday to Center City. I stop by Town Hall on the way for the BEST coffee in the region. Ira from Broomall

One of the reasons people choose to live in Ardmore is that it is a walking community -- most amenities are available within walking distance. The idea of getting into a car to get something when that same thing is available of comparable quality only a short stroll away would be an anathema to many Ardmore residents. That mindset may be unfamiliar to someone from Merion Station or Broomall, but anyone who knows Ardmore would know this.

Nate- as others have said- there's no way this can be the best coffee shop in Ardmore because its not anywhere near Ardmore! Are you new to the area? Please refer to a map!!

Wynnewoodie, bcrider, You are right. Town Hall Coffee is not in Ardmore, but the Ardmore-Merion-Wynnewood Patch covers all that the name implies and more, including Penn Wynne and Merion Station, which is where Town Hall Coffee is located. In the interest of not repeating all the town names all the time, we sometimes use Ardmore area. I'm sorry if that has created some confusion for you.

Lucy- are you from around here? People who are looking for coffee in the "Ardmore area" are not going to go to Town Hall. It's not even close. Whoever made up the Patch areas wasn't very well informed. They should move Merion to the Bala Narberth Patch so it would be geographically with its neighbors.

The title is just simplified, that is all. It looks like Gryphon, in Wayne, won for best coffee in "Radnor" and Green Bean, in Gladwyne, won the "Bryn Mawr" survey. This vote was not just about Ardmore, since this is Merion and Wynnewood's Patch too.

The problem is that there is no good way to split up the areas. The greater Main Line area was very difficult to split up because of towns crossing township and country borders and some areas being very loosely defined. We did it the way that seemed to make the most sense taking into account many factors. You're right. It's not perfect, but we had to split them some way and this is how it was done.

There may be no good way to split up the area, but there are certainly better ways than the one we have. Dividing the Bala business district along Montgomery Ave in two, with half in the Bala Patch and half in the Ardmore (Merion) Patch was a mistake. Murray's & Hymie's are in different Patches? They're less than 500 ft apart! Anything on Montgomery Ave in Merion Station is much more relevant to someone living in Bala Cynwyd (or even Narberth) than for someone living in Ardmore (or the Southeastern parts of Wynnewood). If you won't (or can't) tweak Patch geography, please write up the results of your polls more accurately.
