Wynnewood Civic to Host Meet & Greet with Chaka Fattah in Merion
In the wake of redistricting, Fattah is the area's new representative in Congress.
Now that Lower Merion Township is part of the 2nd Congressional District, the Wynnewood Civic Association is joining with other civic groups in hosting U.S. Rep. Chaka Fattah for a welcoming meeting on Feb. 9 at the Merion Tribute House.
Joining the group at (625 Hazelhurst Avenue, Merion) will be the Ard-Wood, Merion, North Ardmore, Shortridge and Gladwyne civic associations.
The event starts at 7:30 p.m.

"From 2002 until 2012, Lower Merion Township was in the 6th Congressional District, represented by Congressman Jim Gerlach," the Wynnewood Civic said, in its Tuesday invitation. "As a result of recent redistricting, most of Lower Merion is now in Congressman Chaka Fattah's 2d Congressional District. Come meet [the] congressman, learn about the new district and talk about civic issues facing Lower Merion and the 2d Congressional District."
