SEPTA's Paoli-Thorndale Line to Keep Current Schedule; Others Change

Some lines are experiencing low ridership.

SEPTA schedules for the Paoli-Thorndale commuter train, formerly the R5, will remain the same throughout December even as others change.

Train service on the Lansdale/Doylestown and Media/Elwyn lines has been reduced, and trains on the Manayunk/Norristown line will soon be leaving earlier than they had previously been departing.

Those changes go into effect Dec. 18.

Lines where service has been reduced are not seeing the ridership that they once were, according to SEPTA, so certain weekend stops have been discontinued.

SEPTA hasn't determined that ridership is low enough to change the Paoli-Thorndale schedules. So they will remain the same for now.
