Pa. Voter ID Ruling Puts Burden on Commonwealth

Tuesday's Pa. Supreme Court ruling on a challenge to the Voter ID law now puts the burden on the commonwealth to prove that no voters will be disenfranchised by the photo ID requirement.

It's now up to the Commonwealth to prove that no voters will be disenfranchised by a controversial new Voter ID law after Tuesday's Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling.

Bartman, That's the problem. Many people believe voting should be easy and convienient. You, and others, think it shouldn't. You want me to "prove" fraud afterwards. I want you to "prove" fraud before. There needs to be a middle ground.

Dear sic, Just to put it in perspective there are 425 polling places in Montgomery county, there are 71 PennDOT licensing centers in the whole state, many with limited hours and some only open 1 day a week.
