High Temperatures Lead to Early Closures for Summer Playground Program

Due to the uncomfortable, excessive, persistent, unrelenting, unremitting, blast-from-a-hot-furnace temperatures the area is experiencing, Lower Merion playground programs will end early on Thursday and Friday. 

According to township public information officer Tom Walsh, the summer playground programs that operate at the General Wayne, South Ardmore and Wynnewood Valley parks ended at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday and will close at 1 p.m. on Friday. The township's sports clinics will end at their regularly scheduled time of 1 p.m.

The parks will remain open to the general public.
