See the Lower Merion Township press release for more details.

The much anticipated expansion of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail will soon be underway, according to a township press release issued Monday, Feb. 28.

The Lower Merion Parks and Recreation pathway will connect Bala Cynwyd neighborhoods to Manayunk in Philadelphia by bike and walking path for all nearby residents to use.

The construction will begin on March 1, causing the trail to be closed for the "construction of a two-mile separated trail that will feature both a 12-foot wide paved trail and a 10-foot wide soft surface trail," the township press release said.
