The Third Annual Bryn Mawr Day celebration will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the municipal parking lot at Lancaster and Bryn Mawr avenues (just across Lancaster from Ludington Library). This free family day of fun, food and festivities encompasses the entire town, including restaurants and local businesses, institutions and one-day-only special entertainment and performances. This year’s festivities are again expected to draw crowds from all over the Main Line throughout the six-hour party in Bryn Mawr.

“Bryn Mawr Day is becoming a bigger and bigger event each year that it is held,” said Lower Merion Commissioner Scott Zelov. “Our volunteers have really stepped things up this year, and we can also look forward to celebrating the one-year anniversary of the re-opening of Ludington Library, just across the street.”

A first for Bryn Mawr Day 2013 will be Radio Disney, broadcasting live throughout the day, starting at 9. At 11a.m., Radio Disney will have a presentation with Doc McStuffins (from the kids’ TV series). Live music starts at noon, with local talent that includes Elise Dadourian (a feature on WXPN radio), the Willson Vocal Academy, Blues Uprising and the Shipley Singers.

At 9:30, the Bryn Mawr Farmers Market gets underway. At 10, the Bryn Mawr Business District-sponsored “Give and Take Little Circus” starts up, featuring clowns, jugglers, stilt walkers and aerial aerobic acts. Another performance is at 12:45 p.m.
