The deadline for registering to vote in the November general election is just two weeks away.

It may seem hard to believe, but the November election is only six weeks away. The deadline for registering to vote is Oct. 11, 2011, just two weeks away.

The contested seats in Montgomery County this November include the three Montgomery County Commissioner seats. Republican candidates for Montgomery County Commissioner Bruce Castor and Jenny Brown a few weeks ago, shortly followed by Democratic candidates Josh Shapiro and Leslie Richards' .

If you are a first time voter, new resident, or want to change your party registration, time's running out to register. If you are not registered by Oct. 11, you will not be permitted to vote in the municipal elections on Nov. 8.
