Ardmore Alive With Sights & Sounds of 'National Night Out'

Tuesday, August 2nd marked the 28th Annual National Night Out in Ardmore.

From one end of Ardmore to the other all you heard Tuesday evening were the sounds of fun. Assisted by some beautiful weather, the 28th National Night Out was another successful community effort.

National Night Out was created by Wynnewood resident Matt Peskin, executive director of the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).  The Ardmore event is part of a larger event that runs nationwide.

Along with local residents, Lower Merion Board of Commissioners Scott Zelov and Jenny Brown joined State Sen. Daylin Leach, Lower Merion Police Department Supt. Mike McGrath, Peskin and members of Lower Merion Community Watch for an evening of food, music, rides and safety information. There was face painting, funnel cake, and an appearance by the Phillie Phanatic.
