Two Ardmore Wawa Employees Get in Parking Lot Scuffle, Police Say

The apparent instigator was arrested while his coworker refused medical attention and continued his shift.

A 20-year-old Wawa employee was arrested on Tuesday after police say he assaulted a coworker in the parking lot of the 19 Woodside Road convenience store.   

Steven Wood, a resident of the 100 block of Holland Avenue in Ardmore, was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct stemming from the incident.

According to Lower Merion Police, on July 9 at approximately 1:06 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of the store when she witnessed Wood and a coworker having an argument in the parking lot.

The officer said the dispute, which initially looked playful, soon escalated and turned physical, as Wood struck the victim. 

The Ardmore man was arrested while his coworker, who suffered minor injuries, refused medical treatment and returned to work, according to Lower Merion Police.
