Three Juveniles Arrested in Merion Station Armed Robbery

A victim walking a dog on the 200 block of Idris Road in Merion Station was robbed at gunpoint by three juveniles at 7:38 p.m. Jan. 1, according to a Lower Merion police report.

An iPhone, laptop and wallet were stolen from the victim, police said. Only the laptop was recovered.

The victim provided a description of the three boys to police, and the descriptions were broadcast to Lower Merion and Philadelphia police. One suspect trying to cross E. Wynnewood Road and Beacom Lane near St. Charles Borromeo Seminary was stopped by Lower Merion police, police said. The two others fled and were caught by Philadelphia police on Lancaster Avenue and 63rd Street.

The victim positively identified the boys, one of whom was carrying a weapon, police said.

The three individuals were charged by juvenile petition with armed robbery, according to the police report.
