TD Bank Hit by Armed Robbers

The two men were later arrested in Philadelphia, according to police.

No one was injured during an armed robbery at TD Bank in Haverford Monday afternoon, Lower Merion Police are reporting. 

On Monday at 2 p.m., two men entered the Lancaster Avenue bank and announced they were robbing it. According to township public information officer Tom Walsh, one of the men displayed a handgun.

The men took an undetermined amount of money and, according to authorities, drove off in a grey vehicle.

Philadelphia Police located the vehicle in the area of I-76 an Spring Garden Street and, after a brief foot chase, arrested both of the men.

According to Walsh, the men and the vehicle were turned over to Lower Merion Police for processing. The men have not been identified and it's not clear at this time if the money was recovered.
