Suspicious Person Reported on Cynwyd Trail

A suspicious person has been reported on Cynwyd Trail, Lower Merion Police said.

A 14-year-old girl was jogging alone no the trail around 5:30 p.m April 20 when she was approached by a white male, police said. He was about 16 years old, 5-foot-6, with short dark hair and a chipped tooth, the girl told police. He told the girl he lived in Manayunk.

The girl found the whole experience uncomfortable, and so reported it to police.

Police said there does not appear to be cause for alarm, but are investigating the incident. However, people using the trail are asked to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious people or circumstances.

Police have increased patrols in the area.
