Police Stats: Ardmore Burglary, 11 Fires

A roundup of police calls for the week ending Nov. 4.

Lower Merion police responded to approximately 592 calls the week of Oct. 29 to Nov. 4 throughout Ardmore, Merion Station, Wynnewood, Penn Wynne and Haverford, up from about 438 calls for service received the previous week.

A version of the department's most recent report, sorted by the type of incident and culled of incidents throughout the rest of Lower Merion, is attached to this article.

From Oct. 29 to Nov. 4, the police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:

  • 1 report of an abandoned refrigerator
  • 1 burglary, reported Oct. 30 at 9:08 p.m. on the 200 block of Ardmore Ave.
  • 2 DUIs
  • 11 fires
  • 32 reports of roadway obstructions, all between Oct. 29 and Nov. 1
  • 2 retail thefts, both in the Wynnewood Shopping Center on Nov. 4
  • 25 911 hangups
