Police Respond to Theft, Public Drunkenness

The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Lower Merion Police responded to the following incidents during the week of  March 20, according to a report made to news media on Monday.

Retail theft: About 11 a.m. March 21, a manager at Genuardi's flagged down an officer in the parking lot to report a man and woman had stolen baby formula and Tide detergent and driven away in a Nissan Altima.

An officer pulled over an Altima at Lancaster Avenue and Lankenau drive, arresting Heather Sullivan, 30, and Joseph Sullivan, 28, both of the 100 block of Schievert Avenue in Aston. They were charged with retail theft, criminal conspiracy and receiving stolen property and transported to Montgomery County prison.

Public intoxication: Carol Odea, 51, of the first block of College Avenue in Swarthmore, was arrested at 3:54 p.m. March 23 on the 300 block of Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore and subsequently hospitalized.
