Police Respond to Reports of Public Drunkenness

The following information is provided by the Lower Merion Police Department. Arrests and charges do no indicate guilt.

Lower Merion police responded to two incidents of alleged public drunkenness in the Ardmore area on March 13, according to a report from the department.

Police responded to a report of a suspicious man following people near 19 Woodside Road in Ardmore about 8:25 p.m. March 13, police said. The person being followed got to Wawa and called police, police said. Muhammad Hussein, 41, of the unit block of Holland Avenue in Ardmore, was charged with public drunkenness.

Later that same evening, police observed a man who appeared to be intoxicated at Lancaster Avenue and Rittenhouse Place about 11 p.m., police said. Marc Daniel, 22, of the 1600 block of Sorrell Road in Malvern, was charged with public drunkenness, police said.
