Police: Five Thefts from Auto in Wynnewood Last Week

The following incident reports were provided by Lower Merion Police.

Lower Merion police said that five separate thefts from auto occurred in Wynnewood last week, in a media briefing on Monday.

According to reports the department provided Patch, sometime overnight between April 3 and 4, a portable DVD player valued at $125 was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 1500 block of Brinton Park Drive in Wynnewood. That same evening, a GPS and a cell phone cord were stolen from an unlocked car on the 500 block of Glen Arbor Road in Wynnewood. The value of the stolen items was about $150, police said.

Two nights later, a similar string of thefts occurred. Police said that about $40 was stolen from an unlocked car on the 500 block of Parkview Drive in Wynnewood and a green iPod Nano was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 400 block of Shortridge Drive in Wynnewood overnight between April 5 and April 6. Additionally, a child’s diaper bag and loose change from center consoles were stolen from two cars parked in a driveway on the 400 block of Shortridge Drive in Wynnewood overnight between April 5 and April 6.

Police gave no indication of a connection between the crimes.
