Police Blotter: With Friends Like This...

The Lower Merion Township police report for the week of March 28 to April 3.

Police said they responded at 2:04 a.m. on March 30 to a report of a fight in progress at Ardmore Avenue Park. Police said they found two men, who said they were not fighting but were friends. Police said the men were intoxicated to a degree that they were a danger to themselves. Matthew Fusaro, 22, of the unit block of Kings Oak Lane in Philadelphia and Ryan Quigley, 22, of the 400 block of Barnegat Lane in Berlin, N.J. were charged with public drunkenness, police said.

Theft:

A bike was reported stolen from the Ardmore Library on Ardmore Avenue between 11 a.m. and 11:35 a.m. on March 28, police said. The bike was missing from the bike rack, and the lock was also missing, police said.

Police said a Lankenau Hospital employee reported $100 was taken from a wallet that had been left in an unlocked locker in the locker room on March 29. Police said the theft occurred between 7 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. when the victim returned to the locker room at lunchtime.

Burglary:

Police said they responded to a report of an alarm activation on the 500 block of Argyle Road in Ardmore between 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on April 1. Police said the front door was closed but unlocked when the homeowner returned. A basement window had been broken out and a jewelry box had been stolen, police said. Police said the homeowner said the front door had been locked and that the jewelry box had been stolen from the master bedroom.

Police said a burglary occurred on the 100 block of Raynham Road between 1:30 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. on April 1. Police said the rear door had been pried open and it is unknown what has been taken at this time.

Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at about 3:15 p.m. on April 1 on the 200 block of N. Bowman Avenue in Merion Station. Police said the resident’s children were inside when someone kicked in the door. Police said the children called their mother, who then called police. Police said the master bedroom had been ransacked and that numerous pieces of jewelry were taken. The children locked themselves in a bedroom bathroom, police said.

Public Drunkenness:

Police said they responded to a report of a dispute with a cab driver at 2:05 a.m. on April 2 on the unit block of Lancaster Avenue. Police said John Heffner, 32, of Marlton, N.J., and Michael Lockyer, 30, of Wynnewood, were arrested and were cited with public intoxication and with disorderly conduct.

Police said they responded to a report of a suspicious man pounding on the door of a residence on the 100 block of Ardmore Avenue at 12:19 a.m. on April 2. Police said the man was drunk and did not know where he was. Police said the man was Adam Franklin, 21, of Dayton Road in Bryn Mawr, and had a blood-alcohol content of .26. Police said he was cited with public intoxication and with disorderly conduct.
