Police Blotter: Theft from LMHS Locker Room

On Monday afternoon, Lower Merion police reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in the Ardmore Patch area:

Disorderly conduct: Police said a man was causing a disturbance in the emergency room of and was refusing to leave about 2:28 a.m. April 24. Dante Jackson, 19, from the unit block of N. Millick Street in Philadelphia, was cited for disorderly conduct.

Criminal mischief: A car’s passenger window was broken sometime between 2:15 and 4 p.m. April 24 on the 200 block of Argyle Road in Ardmore, police said. Nothing was missing, police said.

Thefts

Theft from high school locker room: A purse and $120 were stolen from a locker room about 2:53 p.m. April 25 at , police said. Two women was shown on surveillance video from outside the locker room, police said. Danielle Aubourg, 19, from the 200 block of Greenfield Avenue in Ardmore, and Arielle Woodard, 19, from the 100 block of Cricket Avenue in Ardmore, were charged with theft, police said. Police said it was unclear whether the women were students or why they were there.

Theft at Elevation Burger: Credit cards were stolen from a purse about 5:30 p.m. April 25 at , police said. The victim’s credit card company called to victim to report unusual activity on the cards, police said. The cards were used at a TJ Maxx and at an Apple store, police said.

Alcohol-Related Charges

Public drunkenness, false ID: Police stopped a man on the 200 block of County Line Road in Ardmore on April 26 after it was reported by a homeowner he was knocking at the door, police said. Darren Jones, 44, from the 800 block of Maple Avenue in Berwyn, was charged with public drunkenness, resisting arrest, providing false ID to law enforcement and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Montgomery County Correctional Facility, where his bail was set at $10,000, police said.

DUI: Police observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed—43 to 50 mph—eastbound on Lancaster Avenue about 1:40 a.m. April 27, police said. The vehicle also drifted over the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic several times, police said. When an officer stopped the car, the car started going again and made a right turn onto Remington Road. The car was eventually stopped again on the 1000 block of Remington Road, police said. The driver failed a field sobriety test and blew a .21, police said. Neal Pelesh, 48, of the 600 block of Rose Tree Road in Media, was charged with DUI, police said.
