Speed limit sign breaks car window: On May 8 at 1:53 a.m., police received a report of criminal mischief on the 100 block of Cricket Avenue in Ardmore. When police arrived, they found a 25 mph speed limit sign at the rear of a vehicle and the rear window of the vehicle smashed. Nothing was missing, police said.
Lankenau patient’s wallet stolen: A patient who was receiving treatment last Wednesday had his wallet stolen, according to police. The wallet was stolen sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on May 9; inside were debit cards, an ID card and driver’s license and $22 in cash, police said.
Theft from Bed, Bath and Beyond: Police received report of a theft from Bed, Bath and Beyond on May 9; the theft occurred between 10 and 11 a.m.
DUI: At 3:19 a.m. on Sunday morning, police stopped a vehicle on Lancaster Ave. near Haverford Station Road, after the driver weaved across the double yellow lines, police said. Claudiu Porubin, 43, of Haverford, failed a field sobriety test and took a blood alcohol content test that registered .14; he was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, according to the police report.
Car ransacked: A vehicle on the unit block of Rosedale Road in Wynnewood was entered overnight on May 10 and ransacked, police said. Nothing was missing.
Theft from vehicle: $10 in loose change was stolen from another car on Rosedale Road on the night of May 9, police said.
Gas card stolen from vehicle: An unlocked car on Overbrook Parkway was ransacked on the night of May 9, and a gas card and parking garage pass were stolen, police said.
DUI at 63 mph: At 1:50 a.m. on Saturday, police conducting speed enforcement on City Avenue in Merion Station stopped a vehicle that had been traveling at 63 mph, police said. James Baldwin, 43, failed a field sobriety test and was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after registering a .10 on a blood alcohol content test, according to the police report.
