Police Blotter: Phone Stolen From Bus, Cash Stolen From Car

On August 22, Lower Merion Police provided Patch the following incident reports from the Ardmore area.

Theft:

Police said on August 20 at 6:22 p.m., a woman on the 65 SEPTA bus on her way to the 69th Street terminal was talking on her T-Mobile phone when an about 14-year-old male grabbed the phone and ran of the bus with it when the bus was near the 200 block of City Avenue. The boy was last seen running toward Lancaster Road, police said, and the incident has been turned over to SEPTA police.

Theft:

A cell phone and $150 cash were stolen from a Wawa patron’s car while the victim was inside the store at about 12:24 a.m. on August 22, police said. Police said the victim went into Wawa to get a cup of coffee and thought he had locked his car, but upon returning to the vehicle realized he had left the car unlocked, possibly by hitting the wrong button on his car remote.
