Police Blotter: Expletive Scratched Onto Car

 reported to news media on Monday the following crimes and incidents from the Ardmore-Merion-Wynnewood Patch area in the past week:

Vandalism to automobile: Someone key-scratched an expletive into the trunk of a car parked on the 100 block of Spring Avenue in Ardmore. The vandalism occurred sometime between midnight and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 7, police said. No one was seen or heard, and there was no estimate of damage, police said.

Public drunkenness: A 21-year-old Havertown resident was stopped outside Brownies 23 East about 1:25 a.m. Aug. 9, police said. The man was having difficulty standing up and was determined to be a danger to himself, police said. He was taken to police headquarters and upon sobering was issued a citation for public intoxication, police said.

Theft from building: Two iron torches, valued at $600 total, were stolen from the 700 block of Highland Avenue in Merion between 7 p.m. Aug. 10 and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 11, police said. No one was seen or heard, police said.
