Police Blotter: Burglary Attempt at Ardmore Nissan

Lower Merion police reported the following recent incidents to news media Monday afternoon:

Theft: Surveillance video at  on Lancaster Avenue showed a white male inside the business about 4 a.m. July 12, police said. He had apparently entered through an unlocked window. 

Several drawers looked like the man had tried to force them open, but there was no evidence of anything being stolen.

Public intoxication: Daniel Connelly, 52, of the unit block of East Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore was charged with public intoxication on consecutive days last week, police said. Connelly was arrested around 4:30 p.m. July 11 on the 900 block of Old Lancaster Road in Bryn Mawr, then about 8 p.m. July 12 while walking in traffic lines on the Ardmore block where he lives, police said. In both cases, he was taken to Bryn Mawr Hospital for treatment before being cited.

Philadelphia resident Robert Rightmyer, 43 was cited for public intoxication at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood the morning of July 12, having been taken there for treatment after his arrest on the 100 block of West City Avenue, police said.

Philadelphia resident Christopher Brownlee, 22, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after a traffic stop at Lancaster Avenue and Indian Creek Road in Wynnewood about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, July 17. Brownlee’s blood alcohol content tested at 0.127, police said.
