Police Arrest Two Suspected in Overnight Thefts

Unlocked cars in Penn Valley, Bala Cynwyd and Merion were targeted.

Township police arrested two people early Friday morning in connection with a string of overnight thefts from vehicles in the Bala Cynwyd, Penn Valley and Merion sections.

The alleged thieves, whom police declined to identify Friday, had with them cell phones, iPods, cameras, GPS navigation units and cash when they were arrested, police said in a online alert.

Police believe they got the items from unlocked vehicles. The department did not report where the suspects were arrested.
