Penn Wynne Park Taser-Robbery Investigation Continues

It happened late Tuesday morning, Sept. 10, Lower Merion police say.

The Lower Merion Police Department continues to investigate an incident last week in which two men struck at least two people with a stun gun and robbed at least three, police said Monday.

About 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Penn Wynne Park, two men and a woman were robbed by a pair of men, one of whom was wielding a Taser stun gun, police said. The Taser was used on the woman and one of the men in the course of the robberies, police said, but no one required medical attention.

The victims were relieved of cell phones, and jewelry was stolen from the woman, police said. Descriptions of the robbers became confused with descriptions of the male victims during the incident, police said.

Anyone with information about the robberies can call township police at 610-649-1000.
