Lower Merion Police to Conduct DUI Checkpoints This Weekend

Police also will patrol the township, observing drivers.

Lower Merion police announced this week they will devote additional resources this weekend to checking drivers for sobriety.

Besides operating stationary checkpoints, police also will send roving patrols throughout the township, on the lookout for people driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

A statement from township officials indicated a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is funding the weekend push.
