Homes Burglarized by Same Person on the Same Day

Police link two recent burglaries due to a matching boot print.

Lower Merion police believe that the same man broke into a home in the 100 block of Henley Road and a home in the 1400 block of Remington Road on Dec. 13 due to matching boot marks found at both scenes.

According to police, both burglaries occurred between 4 p.m. and 7:55 p.m. on Dec. 13.

The owner of the home located on Henley Road left at 5:10 p.m., when he returned home at 7:55 p.m. the rear sliding glass door was open.

Police said that there was no sign of force on the sliding glass door, but that a nearby window had been removed.  There were also pry marks.

Police believe the sliding glass door was opened from the inside as the burglar eft the home.

The resident of the home on Remington Road left at 4 p.m. on Dec. 13 and returned at 7:45 p.m. to discover that the kitchen door had been pried open.

Jewelry was taken from both homes, and each home's master bedroom was ransacked.
