Fake ID At 23 East, Police Say

Also in this week's blotter: a case of criminal mischief.

The Lower Merion Police Department reported the following incidents to news media at a Monday briefing. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Liquor law violation: A 21-year-old and 20-year-old from Newtown Square were cited for public intoxication on March 1 around 12:30 a.m. at 23 East in Ardmore. The women were being thrown out of the club for being too intoxicated, police said. Police on the scene told the women to go home, but they proceeded to go back to the front of the building and enter the club, according to the report. The 21-year-old is charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. The 20-year-old is charged with using a fake ID, disorderly conduct, and providing false information to a police officer.

Criminal mischief: A woman reported that her car was keyed on Feb. 18 while it was parked on Station Avenue in Ardmore around 8 p.m. A foot-long scratch carved in the shape of an “x” was found on her car.
