Ex-Employee Drunkenly Demands Paycheck

A former employee of Delancey Street Bagels allegedly shows up at work drunk, demanding a paycheck.

An ex-employee of Delancey Street Bagels showed up to his former place of work drunk at 3:30 a.m. demanding his paycheck, police said.

According to police, the man was cited with public drunkenness after he arrived at 50 E. Wynnewood Rd. at 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 7 demanding that he be paid.

Police said that the man used to work at the bagel shop, and that he was asking the manager for his last paycheck.

However, police said the man became belligerent towards the manager and the other workers at the store.

When police arrived on the scene, the man told police that he was sorry for causing a scene, and that he just wanted to go home.

The man took a portable breath test, and according to police, is blood alcohol level was a .201.

Police took the man into custody, and when he was released the next morning he was issued a citation for public drunkenness.
