DUI Checkpoints Coming This Month

Lower Merion Police will establish checkpoints and conduct roving patrols throughout the township.

Lower Merion Police will be conducting DUI checkpoints and roving patrols through the township later this month, the department announced.

The operation will be conducted between August 23 and August 25, according to township police.

The effort is a facet of a national impaired driving crackdown that entails, according to the township, highly visible enforcement activities and uses the tagline, “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.” It is being funded by a PennDOT grant.
