Crime Stats: Strong Arm Robbery, Burglaries

A round-up of police calls the week of Sept. 17-23.

Lower Merion police responded to approximately 370 calls the week of Sept. 17 throughout Ardmore, Merion Station, Wynnewood, Penn Wynne and Haverford, down from about 402 calls for service received the previous week.

A version of the department's most recent report, sorted by the type of incident and culled of incidents throughout the rest of Lower Merion, is attached to this article.

Patch also has reported some incidents from the week of Sept. 17 that were relayed in a police briefing.

From Sept. 17 to 23, the police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:

  • 2 burglaries, one on the 200 block of Bowman Ave. in Merion Station and the other on Grays Lane in Haverford
  • 1 strong arm robbery, reported at 7:47 p.m. on Sept. 18, on the unit block of Dreycott Ln. in Haverford
  • 1 case of forgery
  • 3 fires
  • 8 thefts
