Lower Merion police responded to approximately 294 calls the week ending Dec. 30 throughout Ardmore, Merion Station, Wynnewood, Penn Wynne and Haverford, down from 317 calls for service received the previous week.

From Dec. 24 to 30, the police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:
- 1 case of drug possession (marijuana)
- 1 DUI
- Three fires
- 14 car accidents with property damage
- 3 counts of public drunkenness
- 2 simple assaults: one at 2:43 a.m. on Christmas on the 100 block of Lancaster Ave. in Overbrook, the other, at 2:14 a.m. on Dec. 27 on the unit block of Rittenhouse Place
- 2 thefts of over $200
