UPDATE: Merion Station Cat Found After Post-Burglary Disappearance

Zoe's home is near Merion Road and North Bowman Avenue.

(Update from owner Dan Lamprey: Zoe was found under a neighbor's porch on Friday.)

A burglary last weekend in Merion Station resulted in the disappearance of one of the family's cats, 2-year-old Zoe, her owner told Patch.

The burglar or burglars left an exterior door open after taking jewelry and a watch from the master bedroom, resident Dan Lamprey said. Zoe has not been seen since. The family has scoured the neighborhood and posted fliers.

Lamprey described Zoe as "very shy"; she was wearing no collar and though she is microchipped, the chip cannot be used to track her location, only to identify her if brought to a shelter or pound, Lamprey said.

Zoe disappeared from the area of Merion Road and North Bowman Ave. Anyone who has information about her whereabouts is asked to call her owners at 215-266-6300.
