Ardmore Woman Stalks Ex-Boyfriend, Damages Porta Potty and Mailbox, Police Say

An Ardmore woman faces stalking, harrassment and criminal mischief charges following an incident in Radnor Township earlier this month, according to a Newtown Police report.

On Sept. 1 at approximately 3:15 p.m., Newtown police received a call from the Radnor Township Police Department about a report of a damaged mailbox at a home on the unit block of Harrison Drive.

According to the report, police discovered damage to the mailbox as well as damage to a tree and statue in front of the home. According to the report, Radnor police had arrested a 40-year-old Ardmore woman for intentionally driving into the garage doors of a home on the 700 block of Newtown Road in Radnor. The woman admitted to intentionally driving into the garage doors of the home, which was the result of ongoing problems she had with the homeowner, according to the report.

Earlier on Sept. 1, at approximately 1:23 p.m., Newtown police responded to the 100 block of Mason's Way for a reported criminal mischief incident. A witness observed the same Ardmore woman with the same license plate and car, who had been arrested by Radnor police later that day, backing into a porta potty three times and, ultimately, damaging the porta potty, according to the report. The replacement value of the porta potty is approximately $600, according to the report.

According to the report, Newtown police made contact with the woman who admitted to damaging both the porta potty on Mason's Way and the mailbox on Harrison Drive.

In addition, according to the report, Newtown police had previously responded to the same home on Harrison Drive, where the mailbox was damaged, for a reported domestic incident. According to the report, the homeowner called police to report he was receiving threats on the phone made by an ex-girlfriend.

The man told police he had a "brief relationship" with the same Ardmore woman who was arrested on Sept. 1 over three years ago, according to the report. In addition to the threats made by phone, the man told police he had received several sporadic text messages from the woman every so often.

According to the report, the man told police he was concerned for his safety and the safety of his family. Police made contact with the woman and warned her to cease the threats and text messages, in which the woman previously told police, "OK, I am done," according to the report.

The Ardmore woman faces the following charges: two counts of Stalking - Repeatedly Commit Acts To Cause Fear; four counts of Criminal Mischief - Damage Property; and one count of Harassment - Course of Conduct with No Legitimate Purpose.
