An Ardmore woman recovered her stolen car Thursday evening after pinpointing the location of the cellphone she had left inside, Lower Merion police said Monday.
The woman had left her 2004 Pontiac Grand Am running in front of her home about 8:30 p.m. Thursday on the first block of Holland Avenue.
She came out shortly afterward to find it stolen, then about 10 p.m. was able to track the signal of her cell phone to an Overbrook intersection four and a half miles away, police said.
The resident went to the location of the signal and found the car there. No arrests were made.
Anyone with information about the theft can call police at 610-649-1000.
