Ardmore, Haverford Homes Burglarized, Police Say

The burglaries occurred on Aug. 6 and 7, police said.

Three homes in Ardmore-Merion-Wynnewood Patch were burgalarized in the past week, Lower Merion police said.

A burglary was reported on the 200 block of Linwood Avenue in Ardmore, sometime between 12:30 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 6, police said. About $800 worth of electronics and video games were stolen, police said, and residents were home at the time but did not see or hear anything. There were no signs of force, police said.

On Aug. 6, between 10 and 11 p.m., a $500 laptop computer was stolen from the 100 block of Simpson Road in Ardmore, police said.

Residents of the 200 block of Cheswold Hill Drive in Haverford found their house had been ransacked sometime between 4 p.m. Aug. 7 and 1 p.m. Aug. 8, police said. It has not yet been determined whether anything is missing, police said.
