Andy Reid's Son Britt in Trouble Again: in Lower Merion

The 26-year-old Britt Reid, with a history of drug- and driving-related offenses, was recently issued three traffic citations.

Britt Reid was pulled over by state police in Lower Merion Township last Thursday and was issued three citations: careless drivingmaximum speed limits, and tire equipment and traction surfaces, according to court documents.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid’s 26-year-old son Britt, of Villanova, was pulled over by state Trooper Jeffrey M. Lambert on Thursday, June 28, court documents state.

According to a Main Line Times report, Lambert deferred comment to a state police public information officer.

State police did not release further details Tuesday afternoon but told Patch more information is forthcoming.

Reid’s case has been assigned to Magisterial District Judge Henry J. Schireson, according to court documents.

In 2007, Reid faced legal troubles related to gun and drug charges in a reported road rage accident. He was sentenced to eight to 23 months in jail plus five years probation, according to numerous media reports. He entered a 15-month drug rehabilitation program after serving four months in jail in 2008. Reid graduated from the drug court program in June 2009, according to the Associated Press.

His brother, Garrett, also was found guilty on unrelated drug charges in 2007.
